Young love may be in the air for Bella Ramsey and Maisy Stella.
At least, that’s what it seems for The Last of Us star and Nashville alum, who appeared to confirm romance rumors with pictures together on Bella’s Sept. 25 birthday.
In one candid photo posted to Maisy’s Instagram Story, Bella, 21, looked unknowingly at their phone wearing a blue cap and black T-shirt. On top of the photo, Maisy wrote alongside a heart emoji, “Beautiful beautiful beautiful happy birthday the coolest comfiest most wonderful human imaginable.”
In another snap, Maisy, 20, smiled at the camera while Bella embraced her in a tight hug with their cheeks touching.
Fans were thrilled for the apparent new couple, with one writing on X (formerly Twitter), “Stop this is too sweet.. warmest birthday wishes to bella, i adore them sm.”
Another posted, “bella ramsey and maisy stella are so cute i’m crying.”
Followers recently began speculating that the actors might be an item as the two have frequently been commenting on each other’s Instagram posts as far back as July.
On an Aug. 9 Instagram post of Maisy attending an event for her new film My Old Ass, Bella commented, “You are everything.” And on a Sept. 5 post of Maisy’s recent life moments, Bella wrote, “Oooowwww you are perfect.”
Bella also supported Maisy when she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live in September, commenting on a pic of the visit, “Oh how you shiiiiiine,” to which Maisy responded with six red heart emojis.
While the pair haven’t publicly addressed their relationship status, Bella has been candid about other areas of their personal life, including what it was like growing up in the public eye and learning to accept their identity as a nonbinary person.
“You never fully know who you are, it’s ever evolving,” Bella told British Vogue in July 2023. “But I certainly think that people have gathered that I’m not 100 percent straight. I’m a little bit wavy, you know? That’s what I like to say.”
As for Maisy, she recently reflected on how fortunate she was to be raised in an environment that supported her sexuality.
“I grew up in a very lucky way, in a way that I know is not everyone’s experience,” Maisy told The Advocate in an interview published Sept. 18. “I really was never pressured to put a label on myself. I was always what I am. I was always open, I was always queer.”
